Newborn skin is very delicate, vulnerable and sensitive. It’s about 5x more absorbent than ours so it’s very easy for chemicals to get into the body via their skin. For at least the first 4 weeks of life you should only wash your baby with plain water and cotton wool (opt for the bigger pads)

Microbial bacteria is picked up from birth that supports the building of your baby’s immune system so you want to encourage that process. By 4 weeks your baby’s natural skin barrier would have developed and it’s okay to introduce products if you would like to. BUT ensure it’s free from perfumes, parabens, sulphates and artificial colours✨🌱 “natural” packaging claims can be misleading so check the ingredients list for those listed above.
